detoxifying body brush

How do I use the detoxifying body brush?

Start at your outer extremities and work your way in - toes to tummy, fingers to chest - constantly moving in toward your heart. Move the brush in a gentle, circular motion and use care on gentle body parts. Use daily on dry skin only.

What are the benefits of dry skin brushing?

The benefits of dry skin brushing include:
• detoxifying your body
• stimulating blood and lymph systems
• combating cellulite and fatty deposits
• relieving stress and tension
• eliminating dead skin cells
• rejuvenating and regenerating new skin cells
• creates smooth, glowing, vibrant and healthy skin
• increasing energy and stimulates the body
• aiding digestion
• improving circulation

What exactly is body brushing and why should I do it?

Body brushing the skin is an ancient therapeutic practice - it exfoliates and tones your skin, helps slow the skin’s aging process, increases circulation and alleviates muscle tension. Body Brushing is simply the process of, you guessed it, brushing your body! It induces relaxation, stimulates circulation and helps your lymphatic drainage system remove toxins from the body. In doing so, it helps to reduce cellulite in thighs and the bottom, where fats, proteins and waste products tend to accumulate.

Your skin is your body's largest organ and as such, it also eliminates more toxins than any other organ. Dry body brushing for 2 minutes every morning before showering ensures the skin is working at its peak. Body brushing alone can eliminate one pound of toxins from the body every day!

Why can’t I use this in the shower or bath?

Once the skin is wet it stretches and you simply won't achieve the same benefits as dry skin brushing. In addition, it's harder to exfoliate dead skin cells when they're wet versus when they're dry. Finally, once the brush gets wet, it's bristles become softer and it does not cleanse the pores as deeply or as thoroughly so more toxins and dead skin cells are left behind.
